Since 1950, CEF of Memphis has sponsored Camp Good News, an overnight camp held at Chickasaw State Group Camp for children ages 8-12 years old. Campers have a good time swimming, boating, playing games, studying the Bible and memorizing Scripture. The Camp Scholarship fund provides assistance for some children to attend the camp for a week. Camp Good News is usually held the last week of June and the first week of July. Camp is staffed mainly by volunteers. Students may apply to be Junior Counselors (Managers or Trainers) starting at age 15, and Counselors starting at age 18. Camp is $155 per camper. There is a non-refundable $45 registration fee per Camper Application, and the remaining $110 balance will be due at check-in. You may pay by check or cash mailed with your application, or you may pay online using the button below. Now you may also purchase a camp photo or pay for your child's "Sweet Shop" using the drop down box below.
As of right now, staff applications for 2023 are not available online. Please email Janie Walker at cefmemphis@bellsouth.net to enquire about the availability of staff positions.
